How to use it
Prepare for delicious homemade ice cream in a few simple steps. Begin by selecting a recipe from the included recipe book or opt for pre-made ingredient mix you can find in your grocery store, requiring only the addition of liquid ingredients.
1. Fill your can with the cooled mix and put it in the tub, then position the motor.
2. Fill the tub to 2/3 capacity with ice, adding 1 cup of salt on the ice.
3.Continue by filling the tub up to the top of the can with ice and adding again 3 cups of salt on top.
4. Plug in the motor and turn it ON.
5. Complete the process by topping off the tub with ice, adding more ice and salt as necessary.
6. Ensure the drain holes remain open to facilitate water runoff as the ice melts and prevents salty water from getting in the can with the ice cream.
7. The churning process will take from 15 up to 40 minutes, depending on the concentration of salt, the capacity of the ice cream freezer, and the initial volume of the ice cream mixture.
Extra tip: After the mixture has started to harden and to look creamy, you can add fresh berries (strawberries, raspberries, etc.) or chopped fruits, sweets. If you are planning to add soft chocolate flakes, add it just before you stop churning, it will help chocolate stay softer.
